BlackBerry Curve radio turn off by itself issue. When BlackBerry battery charge drops below 5%, the BlackBerry device turns off the radio. You must manually turn it on once your charge reaches 15%. When your BlackBerry battery gets too low, you may get a window that says battery too low for the radio to work, or something like that. I got the issues yesterday. I turned off my BlackBerry Curve 8330, when I woke up in the morning, the radio (for the wireless connection) would not turn on no matter what I did. I went to the ‘manage connections’ icon to turn on the mobile network, but no matter how many times i clicked it to turn it on, the box would never stay clicked and the connection stays off. finally, I find it was caused by low battery. it is really annoying. BlackBerry has three built-in radios.First is the GSM cellular radio for connection to the carriers network. Second, there is a Wifi radio that can be used with home/office network connection. Third, there is a BlueTooth radio. That is used to make a short range connection with accessories like head phones, computers, printers other remote devices. the radio transmits and receives RF signals. If your battery was low simply turn it off and charge the battery.

One Response to “BlackBerry Curve radio turn off by itself issue”

  1. I have had the same issues in the past when my battery was low. However, now my radio is off even when the battery is charged. I could not get it to come back on for anything. So, I called Sprint and they informed me that the software went down on my Blackberry Curve 8330 and there is no way it can be fixed. They are sending me out a new phone, it should arrive Monday afternoon.
