BlackBerry Tour 9630 security issues for Standby, Keyboard Lock or Security Lock mode. you can set up BlackBerry Security with different mode: if you simply want to keep your BlackBerryTour 9630 from accidentally dialing while it’s in your purse or pocket, you can use Standby mode or Keyboard Lock. If you want to ensure that no one else can access the information on your BlackBerryTour 9630, you will need to use Security Lock.
Standby mode
1. When you are not on a call, press the Mute key on top of your phone.
2. To turn it off, press the Mute key again.
While in Standby mode, you will still receive phone calls, messages and notifications according to your Notification profiles.
Keyboard Lock
1. When you are not on a call, press the Lock soft key located on the top left side of the phone.
2. To unlock the keyboard, press the * (‘A’ key) and Send (green phone key).
Security Lock
When using this feature the BlackBerryTour 9630 will automatically lock after a period of inactivity and you will need to enter your password in order to unlock it. When you establish a password for Security Lock, no one will know your password, so it is important that you select a password you will always remember.
