How to reset BlackBerry Curve 8900
How to reset BlackBerry Curve 8900. there are two ways to reset BlackBerry Curve 8900:Soft/Hard Reset and Master Reset (Wipe Handheld). but there are difference between them.
BlackBerry Curve 8900 Soft/Hard Reset : Alternatively press and hold ALT + CAP + Delete to perform a reset. (NOTE: A soft/hard reset will not result in data loss.)
Press the release button and slide off the battery cover > Remove the battery from the BlackBerry> re-insert the battery. ( NOTE: Reinsert the battery so that the BlackBerry logo faces up and the metal contacts on the battery align with the metal contacts on the BlackBerry.)
BlackBerry Curve 8900 Master Reset (Wipe Handheld)
In the blackberry menu go to Options > Security Options > General Settings and select Wipe Handheld.
The device is going to confirm that the data will be erased. Select Continue.
(WARNING: A master reset will result in the loss of ALL user data! It is recommended to perform a backup of the RIM BlackBerry data)

Ive been having this strange problem lately,,it started when i charged my battery and it wasnt charging the whole night,,the next thing i did is that i bought a new battery ,it worked only for the first day then again i was charging the phone and it wasnt charging ( i even used my sister’s charger)..so i took the battery and the sim card for one whole day and again it didnt work. today i tried opening it and it did open but another problem popped out , ‘orginizing call logs’ was there the whole time and the screen was frozen i cant do anything wth it ,and i tried pulling out the battery and all of the above but nothing changed. PLEASE TELL ME WHT TO DO. THANK U!!

This problem is common in blackberry about battery drain fast then handset get dead or Display got black issue with charger or not.
To solve this problem : your handset need New version software using blackberry dektop manager , you can make backup to your data in the 1st then you can updating it, unless your data will be lose and restore it after sw updating finished.
Backup/Restore Option available too in Blackberry Desktop Manager Application which come with Blackberry Package on DVD/CD Driver and flashing.

I just encountered problem with my BB BOld in which when I down loaded/updated the latest version of FACEBOOK and then when I reboot it suddenly stop the rebooting and shows in the reload software 552.
satrangly my curve 8900 has stopped being usefull as when i press menu it opens camera and cannot open menu can anybody help how can i reinstall operating system
I had the exact same error on my 8900 when i updated Facebook. What a nice feature.
