how to turn off BlackBerry messenger on BlackBerry Bold 9700. BlackBerry messenger is really a time killer for my Bold 9700. I can’t actually turn off and I can only set my messenger status to unavailable. to sign off BlackBerry messenger on your Bold 9700, go to the contact list and press the Menu key > then select Edit My Info > then select the Status drop-down menu and select the Unavailable of the following options:

* Free to Chat
* Busy in a Meeting
* On Vacation
* Out of Office
* Available
* Unavailable

if you don’t really chat with BlackBerry messenger, you can uninstall it. you can go to BlackBerry Bold 9700 Options > Advanced Options > Applications it should show up in the list there. You can highlight it, press the menu key, then select Delete.
